You knew it was a bad idea. They knew it was a bad idea. A bad influence can be the friend who says, “One more drink.” The colleague who convinces you to quit. The lover who introduces you to something you can never unlearn. Or maybe you were the bad influence - the one with the terrible plan, irresistible confidence and absolutely no intention of going home early.

This StorySLAM is for the people who pushed us out of our comfort zones, into trouble, across borders, onto dance floors, down rabbit holes, and occasionally toward exactly where we needed to be.

DO YOU HAVE A STORY OF BAD INFLUENCE?

Who talked you into something you definitely should have said no to? Maybe a friend persuaded you to take the trip that changed your life. You dated the person everyone warned you about. You followed someone into a party, a profession, a protest or a very questionable investment. Perhaps you ignored excellent advice because terrible advice simply sounded more fun.

Or perhaps the bad influence was you.

Bring us your true, personal 5–7 minute story of temptation, peer pressure, rebellion, questionable judgment and glorious consequences. The decisions can be bad.
